License Request

This chapter explains how to request and program a license INIT string received from iSYSTEM. For more information about licensing, refer to iSYSTEM Licensing Policy. More information by email license@isystem.com.

Initial winIDEA license

Every new BlueBox from iSYSTEM in conjunction with iSYSTEM winIDEA operates without any restrictions for 10 days in an evaluation period from the first time of use. During this time you must license the BlueBox for operation with winIDEA or the system will cease to work.

You must request the license from iSYSTEM which typically takes less than 24 hours during normal Monday - Friday working days. After the licensing procedure is finished you must program the received INIT string into the BlueBox hardware (iC5000, iC5700…). Once the initial winIDEA license expires (typically after 12 months), you can either extend the winIDEA license and use newer versions of winIDEA, or continue using the current version.

Warning40x40

License Serial number is provided in the BlueBox package, which you have received along with other items of your purchase.

Activation Keys

Product functionalities such as support for specific architecture, trace and multi-core support, etc. are managed via the Activation Keys and are pre-programmed (valid for new BlueBox systems) by iSYSTEM according to the order.

Warning40x40

If there are more additional licenses to be installed, the steps above are required for each license. Activation Keys, through which optional BlueBox/winIDEA functionalities are enabled, are programmed using these same steps.

INIT String Request Instructions

It is presumed that winIDEA is already installed, the BlueBox is physically connected to the power supply and to the PC via the Ethernet or the USB cable, and BlueBox is connected with winIDEA.
